Sunflower microgreens have the deliciously nutty flavor of raw sunflower seeds with the texture of spinach. Not only is sprouting sunflower seeds easy, but they are ready to harvest and eat in two weeks!



SCIENTIFIC NAME: Helianthus annuus

CULTURE METHOD: in a container of about 5cm. high, with holes in the bottom, fill it with substrate and moisten. Spread the seeds leaving space between them, cover lightly with substrate and moisten. Keep moist, once it germinates, place the container in a place that gives it indirect sunlight.

GERMINATION: 5-7 days approx.

TEMPORALITY: seeds available all year.


TASTING: mild flavor reminiscent of cabbage. Aqueous bud that makes salivate.

PAIRING: garlic, caper, seaweed, anchovy, anise, celery, bacon, broccoli, chili, cabbage, spinach, pea, fennel, green apple, mint, blackberries, green pepper, blue cheese, beets, veal, scallops, carrots.

USE: salads, sushi and tapas.

COLOR AND SHAPE: green stem and leaf shaped like a spoon.
